About the artist
True Terre Designs was created by Lauren Chadare, a self-taught artist from Saint Paul, MN who began making jewelry in 2012. A longtime believer in the healing power of crystals and gemstones, she initially began making earrings pairing gemstones with feathers she collected while living abroad in Senegal, West Africa. She still uses feathers from time to time, but the materials now include an assortment of shells, bones, butterfly wings, leather, collected items such as driftwood & claws, crystals, and gemstones. Her work has also evolved to include hand-forged brass and silver pieces.
Inspired by natural materials, travel, and the French language, True Terre is a culmination of Lauren's eclectic and worldly style. Lauren continues to create one-of-a-kind pieces out of her home studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota and accepts custom orders.
FYI: "Terre" (pronounced: /ter/) means "Earth" in French
True Terre's symbol is based off of an ancient Viking Rune representing creativity. The modified symbol was created and hand-carved by the artist.
